Bahrain Quran Grand Prize held under HM King’s patronage

The 26th edition of the Bahrain Quran Grand Prize was held today under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

The Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA) and the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments co-organised the contest today remotely via video conference.

The event was attended by SCIA President Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Justice, Islamic Affairs amd Endowments Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, scholars, SCIA members, heads of the Sunni and Jafferi Councils, officials and hundreds of participants from Quranic Centres.

SCIA President Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa addressed the ceremony, extending congratulations to HM the King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the Government, the people of Bahrain and the Islamic nation of the holy month of Ramadan, the last ten days of Ramanad and Laylat Al Qadr.

He extended deepest thanks and gratitude to HM the King for patronizing The 26th edition of the Bahrain Quran Grand Prize, which reflects royal care for the Holy Quran, as well as activities, events, programmes and competitions related to it.

He commended the Government, chaired by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for its care, which bolstered the role of The Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA) in serving the Holy Quran and supporting centres.

He congratulated the winners in the ceremony during which the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Labour and Social Development, the jury and organizing committee were honoured.
