Bahrain to celebrate World Immunization Week

Under the slogan “Long Life for All”, the Kingdom of Bahrain will join the world in celebrating the World Immunization Week, which is observed in the last week of April every year. The celebration aims to cast light on the importance of synergized efforts and the call for vaccination to provide protection for all age categories and boost awareness of the importance of vaccines.

The Kingdom of Bahrain has gone a long way in preventing diseases through vaccination thanks to concerted efforts between the health sector and other ones. This success is also owed to community partnership and the unlimited support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the health sector.

Bahrain is committed to preventing communicable diseases through vaccination and by implementing health strategies aimed at boosting the national capabilities in this respect. The kingdom’s extensive immunization programme is considered a pillar of public health and primary healthcare to protect people of all ages from different diseases.
