Bahrain welcomes UNGA’s adoption of International Day of Women in Diplomacy

The Kingdom of Bahrain has welcomed the UN General Assembly’s adoption of the International Day of Women in Diplomacy on the 24th of June each year in recognition of women’s vital role in strengthening international cooperation to consolidate security and peace and support sustainable development at the international level.Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani extended congratulations to Bahraini female diplomats, hailed the support of  His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

 

He also lauded the follow-up of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), headed by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King, which contributed to the advancement of women and their active participation in the diplomatic and decision-making field, in line with the National Plan for the Advancement of Bahraini Women (2013-2022) and the 2030 Bahrain Economic Vision.
