Education Minister Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi met with UNESCO’s Youth, Literacy and Skills Development Chief Hervé HUOT-MARCHAND, Global Early Childhood Programs Education Specialist Ruqaya Dewara.The meeting discussed cooperation between UNESCO, Technical and vocational education, and early childhood, and the mechanism of the ministry by providing consultations regarding the draft unified organizational framework for early childhood and consultation with the aim of increasing participation in early childhood education.
The two sides reviewed technical and vocational education in terms of academic and training courses, while reviewing the latest global experiences in this field and how to link education with post high school in light of labor market developments.
The UNESCO’s specialized team expressed its willingness to exchange experiences in technical and vocational education through its centers such as (UNECOV) and coordination with the Centers of Excellence for Vocational Education in Bahrain.
