Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi met with Director of the Division for Education 2030 (UNESCO) Maki Katsuno- Hayashikawa and Dr. Anas Bohilal, expert of higher education programs at the UNESCO in the Arab region ffice.They discussed cooperation with UNESCO in providing technical and academic assistance for the establishment of Isa Al Kabeer – Al Hedaya Al Khalifiya University, due to its modern and advanced programs, in continuation to previous meetings held during the UNESCO 40th Session of the General Conference.The minister said UNESCO’s expected role in the establishment of the institution, the set goals, the mechanism and the best options to offer bachelor’s and master’s degree specializations in nanotechnology, renewable energy and artificial intelligence.
He also noted the training and academic needs and the construction specifications of the smart campus.
The organization expressed its readiness to cooperate with Bahrain in this important educational and training project.
It also affirmed that a technical team from UNESCO will visit the Kingdom to address the topics discussed and submit the required study.
