HM King receives Oman’s Shura Council Chairman; hails long-standing historic ties

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa expressed pride in long-standing historical and fraternal relations binding the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Bahrain.

Receiving Oman’s Shura Council Chairman Shaikh Khalid bin Hilal Al Maawali, HM the King stressed steadily-growing bilateral relations, noting mutual keenness on further bolstering joint ties.

HM the King welcomed Shaikh Khalid bin Hilal Al Maawali who conveyed sincere greetings from Sultan of Oman HM Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, who wished the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity.

HM the King also extended sincere greetings to HM the Sultan of Oman, wishing him abundant health and happiness and his country and people further progress and prosperity.

HM the King hailed the advanced level of bilateral relations, praising the pivotal role played by Bahrain’s Shura Council and Representatives Council and Oman’s Shura Council in strengthening fraternal ties and supporting development in both countries.

HM the King commended the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Representatives Council and Oman’s Shura Council, which will contribute to supporting parliamentary cooperation and stepping up coordination regarding common issues.

HM the King stressed the importance of fraternal visits to expand corporation, exchange legislative expertise and coordinate stances in parliamentary arenas.

He praised the pivotal role of HM Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Saidin supporting bilateral relations and hailed development strides in the Sultanate of Oman.

Oman’s Shura Council Chairman expressed thanks and gratitude to HM the King for the warm welcome and good hospitality, and hailed HM the King’s efforts to further bilateral relations and expand parliamentary and legislative cooperation.
