Information Affairs Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi hailed the support and follow-up of Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Head of the National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce the Values of Citizenship (Bahrainouna), which contributed to the success of the TV programme “Kafo”.
The programme which was broadcast on Bahrain TV during the holy month of Ramadan was produced by the Ministry of Information Affairs in cooperation with “Bahrainna” and STC Bahrain.
The minister commended the programme’s work team had played its role with pride and professionalism, considering this national media production part of the national plan to enhance national belonging and consolidate the values of citizenship.
“This national work is a model of constructive community partnership between the public and private sectors, highlighting about 18 values on which the national plan “Bahrainouna” is based, most notably pride, giving, solidarity and good citizenship”, he said.
He affirmed that the ministry would continue its effective partnerships with the private sector in order to achieve common national goals and benefit the advancement of the media sector.
He valued the support of STC Bahrain and Studio Master as partners in the media success at the local and regional levels, adding that the second version of the programme proved a great hit.
“The the interaction of the local and Arab public with “Kafo” program, and the positive echo of all its episodes on various social media, reflects what Bahraini society represents as a Gulf and Arab model in positive influence and strengthening national cohesion”, he said.
He noted that the programme aims mainly to foster the value of gratitude in society as a culture that the people of Bahrain derive from their leader, His Majesty the King, who represents a national role model, and honor the distinguished national models and everyone who works in the service of the Kingdom of Bahrain and its loyal people.
The National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce the Values of Citizenship (Bahrainouna). was launched in March 2019, highlighting more than 100 initiatives.
Twenty-seven Government agencies and institutions participate in their implementation, with cooperation and support from the private sector, through five main tracks centered on belonging programs and public relations campaigns and media initiatives, in addition to curricula, legislations and regulations.
