About Company
Transition Program: Developing Essential Life Skills
Our Mission
The goal of our transition program is to develop life skills that help students as they move towards adult life. The life coach and vocational team focus on functional academic skills such as counting, following procedures, and planning.
Application of Skills
Practical Experience
Students apply these skills by working in areas like the Thrift Shop, library, and canteen. These activities integrate into their daily tasks, such as grocery shopping, making schedules, and setting appointments. The ultimate goal is to achieve independence and maturity, whether at home or living alone.
Safety and Safeguarding
Staff Training
Safety is a top priority. Our staff undergo regular safeguarding training. A nominated senior staff member oversees our safeguarding provision. All staff are empowered to report concerns to the Senior Leadership team or the school nurse.
Safeguarding Policy
Our safeguarding policy outlines how we handle concerns. Ministries require school principals to report any obvious or suspected child abuse to the proper authority. This duty is taken seriously, and the school must act in the child’s best interest.
Dedicated Staff
There will be dedicated staff available for immediate concerns. Keeping your child safe is our utmost priority.
Conclusion
Our transition program is dedicated to developing essential life skills for students. With a focus on practical experience and a commitment to safety, we ensure that our students are prepared for adult life. Trust our program to provide the support and skills needed for a successful transition.
