Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan, has chaired the Royal Academy of Police (RAP) Scientific Council 56th meeting. The RAP Commander and the council members attended.
The Chief of Public Security expressed thanks and appreciation to Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, for his ongoing support to the council and wise directives to develop scientific and training programmes to meet the security changes and challenges. He expressed happiness for the council’s dedication to implementing the Interior Minister’s directives through enhancing the quality of education and training in the academic programmes to achieve excellence and RAP missions.
He highlighted the efforts of the Interior Ministry in training through an advanced approach and by qualified trainers. With the ever-changing global technological situations, the ministry’s strategy is based on linking police operations with Artificial Intelligence investments and smart systems, he added.
The council started its meeting by reviewing training programmes for new police personnel and the academy joining the World Intellectual Property Association. He highlighted the importance of international partnerships and the exchange of expertise between academic organisations.
In the end, the Chief thanked the RAP administration and training teams and wished the best to all.
