A telephone call took place today between His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the Prime Minister of Japan, HE Fumio Kishida.

During the telephone call, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad and HE Kishida reviewed ways to further enhance bilateral cooperation. His Royal Highness expressed his thanks for Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency’s collaboration with the Kingdom of Bahrain to launch the Bahrain-UAE satellite Light-1, in February 2022.

His Royal Highness and HE Kishida also reviewed regional and international issues of common interest, including the situation in Ukraine. His Royal Highness and HE Kishida emphasised the importance of diplomatic solutions to find peaceful resolutions to conflict.

HE Kishida further extended his congratulations to His Royal Highness on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan and wished the people of Bahrain further progress, development, and prosperity.
