SCH Chairman, Health Minister visit King Hamad-American Mission Hospital

Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health (SCH), Lieutenant General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, and Minister of Health, Faeqa bint Said Al Saleh paid a field visit today to the King Hamad-American Mission Hospital project in A’ali to assess progress of work at the hospital which is set to be inaugurated by end of this year. They were accompanied by Chief Executive of the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA), Dr. Meriam Al Jalahma, Health Ministry Undersecretary, Dr. Walid Al Mena, and SCH Secretary General, Ibrahim Al Newakhdha.

 

Doctors Chief and Chief Executive of the American Mission Hospital in Bahrain, Dr. George Cheriyan presented a briefing on progress of the project which is considered one of the key contributors to supporting the health sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The state-of-the-art hospital will further optimize medical services provided to the Bahraini community.

 

The SCH Chairman praised the vital project which embodies the visions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa as well as the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He also commended the role of the American Mission Hospital in providing the best medical services in Bahrain.

 

The Minister of Health lauded the new state-of-the-art project which aims to provide world-class medical services and achieve the aspirations of HM the King to further develop the medical sector and optimize health services.

 

Dr. George Cheriyan expressed utmost thanks and appreciation to the SCH Chairman and the Health Minister for the support accorded to the American Mission Hospital by the government.

 

It is worth noting that the King Hamad-American Mission Hospital will be the first Environment-Friendly hospital operating with solar energy in the Kingdom of Bahrain. It will also be the first hospital with a hybrid operational system using robots on a broader scope. Having many facilities, the hospital will provide a wide range of medical services.
