The chairman highlighted the close cooperation and ongoing coordination between the legislative and executive branches, emphasising their shared commitment to consultation and integration in support of development and progress. He also praised the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, whose dedication to sustaining progress is well known. This commitment, he noted, extends to strengthening the efforts of government institutions and Team Bahrain in showcasing the Kingdom’s excellence and leadership across various domains.
Marking the International Day of Parliamentarism, Al Saleh noted that Bahraini parliamentary diplomacy has recorded stories of success and distinction for over two decades. He emphasised the Council’s active participation in formulating and implementing parliamentary plans and programmes, as well as legislative ambitions that contribute to comprehensive development for all countries worldwide.
He noted that this year’s International Day of Parliamentarism focuses on gender equality, highlighting Bahrain’s commitment to this principle through its laws and the significant contributions of Bahraini women to parliamentary work and national development. He added that Bahraini women play a key role in representing the country in regional and international parliamentary forums, and that their participation is an essential part of Bahrain’s achievements and reputation in the global parliamentary community.
