“The summit, which brought together GCC leaders, the King of Jordan, the Egyptian President, the Iraqi Prime Minister and the US president, stressed the Arab countries’ pivotal political, economic and security role”, he said.
“HM the King’s speech reflected Arab responsibility towards the issues of the region, especially the Palestinian issue”, he said quoting HM the King who stressed the necessity of solving the Palestinian issue through a just and lasting settlement and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state in accordance with the two-state solution.
He said that Bahrain’s high-level attendance reflected the Kingdom’s keenness on bolstering relations of friendship and cooperation with other countries, in support of regional and global security, stability and peace.
He praised the outcome of the summit which, he said, reflected people’s hopes and aspirations to strengthen Arab-American cooperation, stressing the importance of security and economic issues discussed at the summit.
